What happens during a home-security assessment?
Request a $349 assessment — no payment or appointment obligation when you inquire.
1. Start with a no-obligation request
The assessment-request form collects the information needed to review the request. Submitting it is not a booking, appointment, or payment. SecurityPrepper reviews the request and confirms availability separately.
2. Confirm the assessment scope
Before an eligible request becomes an appointment, the format and scope are confirmed. In-person requests are currently considered case by case for West Ridge 60645 and Skokie 60076. Video assessments are also available. The assessment price is $349.
3. Review the home and routines
The assessment can cover relevant doors, windows, lighting, entryways, visibility, and everyday routines. The purpose is to identify observations and tradeoffs that can be turned into priorities. It is not an installation visit and does not include regulated work unless that work is separately scoped and confirmed in writing.
4. Prioritize practical improvements
Recommendations distinguish higher-priority steps from optional improvements and consider practical budget choices. SecurityPrepper is not tied here to a promise that one device, product, or change will eliminate risk.
5. Document the recommendations
The report records the observations and recommendations from the assessment so the homeowner has a usable reference for next decisions. The assessment is advisory; it does not guarantee safety or prevention of crime.
